Lifescan was founded to help address the balance of healthcare needs in the UK. Our aim is to ensure that anyone who wishes to reduce the impact of undetected illnesses can do so through a range of specially designed health checks.

Since its launch in 2003, Lifescan has:

• helped to provide peace of mind to over 65,000 people
• scanned over 1,000 GPs and health professionals
• helped save the lives of thousands of people through early diagnosis

By utilising the advanced diagnostic capabilities of CT scanning technology, we can provide insights into an individual’s current state of health.

In 2011, Lifescan was acquired by Spire Healthcare, a leading provider of private healthcare, with 37 private hospitals throughout the UK.

All the radiographers and Consultant Radiologists at Lifescan are subject to clinical audit. In addition, Lifescan is regulated under the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposures) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and has been inspected and approved under this legislation by the Department of Health.

Lifescan is registered as a provider of diagnostic and screening services with the Care Quality Commission.
