Clinical governance

Lifescan works to strict clinical protocols and only works with specially trained healthcare professionals.

All Consultant Radiologists who work with Lifescan have undertaken specialised additional training to support the very specific work we undertake in the reviewing and reporting of images for the early diagnosis of heart disease, lung cancer and colon cancer.

All our Radiography Managers are registered with the Health Professions Council.  As Lifescan offers a range of specialised services, all our Radiography Managers receive comprehensive additional training in such services as virtual colonoscopy and coronary artery calcium scoring.

Our clinical teams are lead by Dr John Giles, who is a Consultant Radiologist and the Clinical Director of Lifescan.  Dr Giles is responsible for the clinical audit and review of all those working within Lifescan and for the management of independent clinical audit.

Lifescan is Regulated under Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and is registered by the Care Quality Commission for the provision of diagnostic and screening services.
