All Lifescan CT assessments are only available to people aged 40 and over.  Any employees under the age or 40 would not be eligible under our clinical protocols.  In much the same was as mammograms are generally only available to women over the age of 40, CT assessment scans are only available to those deemed to be at a higher risk of developing preventable diseases such as heart disease.

Heart Scan - The Heart Scan detects and measures calcium in your coronary arteries. If calcium is detected, there is coronary artery disease present. If no calcium is detected you are at a low risk of a heart attack. Our Heart Scan can detect calcium at a very early stage of coronary artery disease, even before any significant blockage has developed and potentially years before a standard health assessment or Exercise ECG would detect disease.

Lung Scan - Our Lung Scan is six times more accurate than a traditional chest-Xray in determining the early signs of lung cancer. Our non-invasive scan allows detection of cancers and other pulmonary abnormalities not able to be seen with other tests. Anyone who smokes more than 10 cigarettes per day should consider annual lung scans.

Life Scan - Our Life Scan is essentially a detailed scan of your vital organs. It includes the Heart Scan, the Lung Scan and the Bone Density Scan but in addition includes a scan of the abdomen and pelvis. By capturing images from the collar bone to the pelvis we are able to extend the search for disease beyond heart disease and lung cancer to include osteoporosis, aneurysms, kidney stones, lymphoma and other cancers.

This extensive 'look' inside your body can uncover many conditions that can be slowed, stopped or even reversed with early detection.
