ECG (heart rhythm) – monitors the rhythm of your heart to establish the presence of arrhythmia (an irregular heart beat) such as atrial fibrillation, which can cause a stroke.
Lung function and lung age test – assesses the health and function of the lungs and calculates the current age of your lungs. In smokers the age of the lungs is often ‘older’ than the individual.
Full lipid profile (cholesterol) – a blood test giving a breakdown of your cholesterol (blood fat) result, including HDL and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides – a high level of cholesterol increases your risk of cardiovascular disease.
Blood pressure – monitoring your blood pressure can help to avoid future problems.
Measure of height, weight and calculation of Body Mass Index – keeping a check on your weight is important for a healthy heart and helps avoid future problems for your bones and joints.
Urine analysis – looking for any signs of protein or blood in your urine
