A CT health check aimed at those concerned about their lungs. This is an ideal check for those who have either smoked in the past or been exposed to secondary smoke at home or work, have worked with asbestos and hazardous chemicals, or for those with a family history of lung cancer. Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK, but when detected at an early stage it can be treated successfully – but it is important it is found before symptoms are evident.

Lung scan – a low dose CT scan of your lungs capturing hundreds of detailed images which will be reviewed by a Consultant Radiologist who will check and report on any evidence of changes visible in the lungs. Our lung scans are six times more accurate than a traditional x-ray in detecting the early signs of lung cancer. It is the ability to highlight nodules the size of pea that makes the difference when treating lung disease.

Lung function and lung age test – to establish how well your lungs are functioning. It simply involves breathing long and hard into a special device, which will monitor how well your lungs are functioning and give an estimation of how ‘old’ your lungs are compared to your actual age. If your lung age is substantially older than your current age it can indicate that lifestyle or medical conditions may be having an impact on your lung function. Often taking sensible steps to help your lungs work harder can reverse these results.
